Examination Process

At the core of the growing popularity of Rayat-Bahra University among students and parents is the industry-focused curriculum that enables students to become employment-ready by the time they complete their course. The University believes in making learning effective by involving and engaging the students in various interdisciplinary and co-curricular activities.

To help students adapt easily to the industry environment, the University has made Domain Skills, Soft Skills, and Industry Interface an integral part of its Curricula. In addition, the University aims to develop world-class Entrepreneurs with its focus on Entrepreneurship Skill Development with International Exposure.

Important Aspects of the Examination Process

1. Registration

Candidates shall have to register as bonafide students with the University as per regulations before the commencement of instruction in the first semester and for lateral entry students in the 3rd semester. A student is allowed to attend classes only for those subjects that the student has registered in a semester.

2. Mandatory Requirement of Attendance

A student must maintain a minimum of 75% attendance in each of the campus-based courses without which the student shall be disqualified from appearing in the respective examinations and the student is required to register again (RRA) in the course.

3. Conduct of Mid-Term Test

Two MTTs will be conducted in one semester as per the academic calendar by the concerned Schools. The MTT shall be conducted as per the norms of the University.

4. Continuous Evaluation

The continuous evaluation will include the MTT results, and other components such as tutorials, laboratory exercises, home assignments, several quizzes/tests/examinations, the regularity of attendance, etc.

5. Conduct of End Term Exam

On the basis of the Academic Calendar, the date sheet for the End Term examination shall be conveyed to the concerned Schools at least two weeks prior to the start of end term exams. The COE will get the answer books evaluated by table marking by the set of examiners.

6. Compilation and Declaration of Result

At the conclusion of the semester, a student is awarded a grade in each of the courses the student has taken during that period. The grade awarded to a student in a course will depend on total performance in all components of the evaluation. Every student must appear in MTT-1, MTT-2, and End Term Examination. There will not be any provision for makeup or special tests for these. For D. Pharmacy and B. Pharmacy Practice courses, three MTTs during the session are mandatory.

7. Minimum Academic Requirements

At the end of every semester, the following minimum academic standards have to be maintained by students: A student should have an SGPA of at least 4.5 for diploma & undergraduate courses and SGPA 5.0 for postgraduate courses. (For M.Pharm, B.Pharm, D.Pharm, B.Pharm (Practice) Courses, SGPA will be 5.0)

8. Pass-Out Eligibility

A student is deemed to have completed the requirements for graduation when:

  • All courses prescribed for the program are cleared.
  • A minimum CGPA of 5.00 for diploma & UG, and CGPA 5.5 for PG courses is achieved.
  • The student has not exceeded the maximum time specified for course completion.

Students who fulfill the graduation criteria will be issued a provisional degree/certificate.

9. Classification of Graduation Certificates

The classification based on CGPA will be reflected on the graduation certificate.

10. Conversion of CGPA to a percentage of marks

To convert CGPA awarded by the University to percentage marks, the CGPA awarded should be multiplied by ten (10).

11. Convocation

The original degree/certificate will be issued at the convocation. Convocation for international Students will be held on 12th July 2019 and for other Students in the Month of October 2019.
