ABOUT THE SCHOOL

University School of Sciences (USS) established in 2016 at Rayat Bahra University is the academic home to a faculty and students with a diverse research portfolio in Sciences. The School offers B.Sc Hons. in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, B.Sc Hons. Data science and computing, B.Sc Hons. Computer science and B.Sc.(Non-Medical) and M.Sc. in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics adopting Choice Based Credit System (CBCS). The programs at Doctorate levels are Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics. The School is harmony of experienced teaching methodologies accompanied by best in class infrastructure and state of art laboratories that supports and exhibits the practicality of the enriching syllabus. The University School of Sciences is well equipped to carry out both teaching and research through its various Departments. Dean's Message

At the University School of Sciences, we are dedicated to fostering an environment that encourages engagement in scientific curiosity, innovation, and excellence in academics. Our academic programs are designed to prepare students not only with a solid background of theory but also with sound application of knowledge within an industry-related framework.

Undergraduate degree options include B.Sc. (Non-Medical) with Honours in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Data Science and computing & Computer Science. We also have Master degrees in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics at the Post graduate level, which contain specialized program options focusing on areas such as Astronomy & Astrophysics; Statistical Applications; Industrial Chemistry; and other new emerging applied areas of study.

We emphasize research as demonstrated by producing high-quality original research publications that are indexed in recognized journals/databases, patents intended for commercial application, developing collaborations with industry, and student entrepreneurial incubators. We actively promote a culture of inquiry and innovation at our school.

To support the transition from academia to industry, the University School of Sciences provides students with industrial training, internship opportunities, and skill development programs. Students receive encouragement and support to attend international conferences, symposiums, and capacity-building workshops which provide students with the opportunity to receive international experience while contributing to the development of their careers.

Hands-on experiences through modern laboratories have been established at our school to provide students with an opportunity to learn by doing, perform experiments in laboratories, and work on projects to produce tangible results that help their understanding of science concepts.
