The M.Sc. Forensic Science course provides students with education, training, experiences and information that will broaden their understanding of the field of Forensic Science and crime scene investigations. A concurrent goal of the course is to develop observational, organizational and cognitive skills so as to be able to integrate their experiences and knowledge to solve problems.
A series of practical activities utilizing skills such as fingerprinting, fiber analysis, crime scene preservation, teeth prints, lip prints, evidence collection and other investigations will be offered to the students.
Students will also be exposed to research and present their research studies, famous crimes and write research papers to show their understanding of the crime and the processes used to solve it. The Forensic Science course in RBU Mohali Pb engages the students in experimentation, personal observation and hands on learning with special attention to note taking, reading and sharing educational films, as well as commercial films, related to forensic science. The course educates the students to use facts, logic and objective thinking, as opposed to emotions, feelings and subjective assumptions in solving crimes and problems.
