The focus of this field of engineering is on an understanding of electronic networks and devices, communication and control systems, fundamentals of computers and magnetic fields. This branch of engineering uses scientific knowledge about the behavior and effects of electronics in developing devices, systems, components, and equipment.

The objective of the program is to make the atmosphere conducive through which students can discover their potential in Electronics and Communication Engineering and cater to the needs of industries. The program aims to provide practical exposure to students by means of modern laboratories, hands-on experience, industrial visits, and in-plant training. The infrastructure provided for the course includes a modern library, internet access facility, academic and support staff, and faculty. This course provides an opportunity for students to improve their skills through seminar participation, technical project, and paperwork within the campus.

The diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) is a three-year program approved by AICTE and the government of Punjab.
