The Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics (Hons.) is a comprehensive undergraduate program designed to develop in-depth knowledge of food science, human nutrition, and diet planning. The course focuses on understanding the role of nutrients in maintaining health, preventing diseases, and promoting overall well-being.

Students gain practical and theoretical expertise in areas such as clinical nutrition, community nutrition, therapeutic diets, food safety, and lifestyle management. The program also emphasizes hands-on training through laboratory work, case studies, and industry exposure to prepare students for real-world healthcare and wellness environments.

Graduates of this program are equipped to work as nutritionists, dietitians, wellness consultants, and health advisors across hospitals, fitness centers, NGOs, research organizations, and the food industry.

Eligibility

Candidates must have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) or an equivalent examination from a recognized board/university with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics. Applicants with international qualifications should have an equivalent certification recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, along with English studied up to 12th standard. Candidates from National Open School (NIOS) or equivalent must have completed Senior Secondary Education with at least five subjects, including relevant combinations such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Food, Nutrition & Dietetics / English, with a minimum of 50% marks.
