BDes in Interiors program is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of how spaces are designed. It covers an exploration of architecture and design for residential, commercial, and retail spaces. Students of the course gain in-depth knowledge of design concepts, materials, spatial techniques, and modern design and spatial modelling technologies, keeping them abreast of the industry.
Career paths in Interior Design:
Residential design: This involves designing the interiors of homes, apartments, and other residential properties. Residential designers work with clients to understand their needs and preferences and create functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces.
Commercial design: This involves designing the interiors of offices, retail spaces, hotels, and other commercial properties. Commercial designers must consider factors such as traffic flow, branding, and safety regulations when creating their designs.
Set design: This involves creating the interior environments for films, television shows, and theatre productions. Set designers must be able to visualize and recreate N different historical periods and styles.
Furniture design: This involves designing and creating furniture pieces. Furniture designers must have a strong understanding of materials, construction techniques, and ergonomics.
