EYE CHECK-UP CAMP
PROMOTING EYE HEALTH AWARENESS
As part of ESR activity of RBU and clinical enrichment of our students, University School of Allied Health Sciences (USAHS) at Rayat Bahra University, Mohali, Punjab, organized an Eye Check-up Camp at Chanalon village, Punjab, on 2nd April 2026 with the aim of promoting eye health awareness and providing basic eye care services to the community.
More than 35 patients were screened during the camp for visual acuity, refraction and basic ocular examination. The patients were guided for the appropriate treatment of their ailments.
Counselling sessions were also conducted to educate patients for various eye ailments including cataract, refractive errors, and presbyopia etc.
COMPREHENSIVE EYE CARE
A range of essential eye care services were delivered to the community during the camp.
Visual Acuity Testing
Comprehensive screening to measure the sharpness and clarity of each patient's vision.
Refraction Assessment
Evaluation of refractive errors to determine corrective lens prescriptions for patients in need.
Ocular Examination
Basic examination of the eye structure to detect conditions like cataract and other ailments.
Patient Counselling
Educational sessions on cataract, refractive errors, presbyopia and preventive eye care practices.
