The Research & Development Cell serves as the backbone of the university’s research ecosystem. It is committed to fostering a culture of curiosity, critical thinking, and innovation across disciplines. This cell facilitates and monitors all research-related activities, including high-impact publications, intellectual property generation, and sponsored research projects.
With a strong emphasis on quality research, national relevance, and global collaboration, the R&D Cell plays a pivotal role in guiding faculty and scholars toward excellence in research output, while aligning with institutional goals, NAAC/NIRF parameters, and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Hosts conferences, seminars, and innovation talks to promote knowledge sharing.
To ensure consistent monitoring and enhancement of research output, every faculty member at Rayat Bahra University is required to submit a monthly Research Progress Report. The report will document key research activities such as publications, ongoing or submitted projects, collaborations, conference presentations, patents, and any other academic contributions.
Submission of this report is mandatory every month and will be used for research evaluation, annual appraisals, and institutional benchmarking.
The report must be submitted through the official Google Form provided by the Research Publication & Dissemination Cell.
Last date for submission each month: 5th of the following month
Note: Faculty members are advised to maintain updated research records for timely and accurate reporting.
The University Press and Publication House is committed to promoting scholarly publishing and academic dissemination. It serves as the official publishing arm of the university, supporting high-quality research outputs through journals and academic books.
Our in-house journal "Rayat Bahra International Journal of Multidisciplinary Research" is published biannually, with two issues released each year.

Series Initiative
We have launched a dedicated Book Series exclusively for the RBU fraternity. This initiative is proudly supported by the Raja Rammohun Roy National Agency for ISBN, under the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India.
Oversees academic journal operations, peer review, and editorial integrity.
Publishes scholarly books authored by university faculty and collaborators.
Maintains open-access digital archives and publication portals.
Publishes RBU’s creative and knowledge-based periodicals.
Provides technical support for publishing formats, layouts, and digital production.
The IPR Cell is dedicated to promoting innovation protection, patent awareness, and technology commercialization. It plays a key role in guiding faculty, researchers, and students through the process of identifying, protecting, and managing intellectual property including patents, copyrights, designs, and trademarks. The cell supports inventors in filing and processing IPR applications, conducts capacity-building programs, and ensures alignment with national IPR frameworks. By nurturing a culture of creativity and legal ownership, the IPR Cell strengthens the university's research impact and fosters innovation-led growth.
BRIKC has streamlined the process for submitting Invention Disclosure Forms (IDFs) associated with patent applications. This initiative is designed to simplify and standardize the submission procedure, ensuring greater efficiency, accuracy, and ease of use.
The Sponsored Research Projects & Consultancy Cell, is committed to fostering a culture of applied research and real-world impact. It facilitates collaboration between the university and external stakeholders, including government agencies, industries, and research organizations. The cell assists faculty and researchers in identifying funding opportunities, developing proposals, and managing projects from initiation to completion. It also encourages consultancy-based problem-solving by leveraging academic expertise to address industrial and societal challenges, thereby strengthening the university’s role in national development and innovation.
