Incubation Entrepreneurship Cell

The Incubation & Entrepreneurship Cell at BRIKC, Rayat Bahra University is a vibrant innovation ecosystem dedicated to supporting early-stage ideas and promoting entrepreneurial thinking among students, faculty, and researchers. This cell is pivotal in bridging the gap between innovation and impact, offering structured guidance, infrastructure, mentorship, seed funding, and networking opportunities to help aspiring innovators turn their ideas into startups.

A startup is typically a newly established business that aims to solve a real-world problem with a novel idea, product, or service. Startups are agile, innovation-driven, and often technology-oriented, focusing on areas such as healthcare, sustainability, artificial intelligence, agritech, clean energy, edtech, and smart manufacturing.

The cell plays a crucial role by:

  • Helping students understand entrepreneurship as a career path, not just a business venture.
  • Assisting faculty in translating their research into market-ready solutions or social enterprises.
  • Providing hand-holding support for idea validation, business planning, prototype development, and investor pitching.
  • Facilitating industry partnerships, government scheme access (like Startup India, MSME, and NIDHI), and incubation opportunities at national-level platforms.
  • Organizing idea competitions, hackathons, bootcamps, and entrepreneurship development programs.

It contributes directly to the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat, Startup India, and the UN SDGs, making our students and faculty key contributors to national and global development.
